Background
The Neith is an independent marketplace for designers who sell directly to customers — no middlemen, no marketplace fees. The founder came to us with a product vision but no technical team. We built the entire platform from scratch.
The Challenge
Designers were losing customers at the final step. Buyers would browse a product, have a question, and leave because the only option was a slow email thread. The client needed live support, video consultations, and inventory analytics — all in one system — but enterprise tools were out of budget.
Our Solution
We designed and built a MERN stack marketplace with Socket.IO-powered live chat rooms, WebRTC peer video for designer consultations, and a ChartJS admin dashboard showing real-time revenue, inventory health, and conversation metrics. The architecture separates buyer and seller flows clearly, with Redux managing the complex UI state across both.
Key Deliverables
- Real-time chat with Socket.IO room-based architecture
- WebRTC video consultations between designers and buyers
- Admin dashboard with live ChartJS revenue and inventory analytics
- Dual role authentication — separate buyer and seller flows
Results & Impact
How We Did It
01
Discovery & Mapping
We ran buyer journey interviews and identified three critical drop-off points in the existing flow.
02
Architecture Design
Designed the real-time event system — Socket.IO room structure, WebRTC signalling, and data model for dual user types.
03
Iterative Build
Built in 2-week sprints: marketplace core → live chat → video → admin dashboard. Client demo every Friday.
04
Launch & Handoff
Zero-downtime deployment on Vercel and MongoDB Atlas. Comprehensive handoff docs and 30-day post-launch support.
“The platform Sageware built transformed how we connect with customers. The real-time tools changed everything — our designers actually enjoy using it.”
